Okay, we are six days into a migraine, and while some parts of the day tend to be better than others, I can still feel the tension in my shoulders. I have my migraine glasses on and am still punching away at life. I’m still taking the steroid to help with this cluster of migraines, and I recently spoke to a new doctor who is reviewing my files. They’re asking a lot of questions and working on a plan. Unfortunately, since most of our communication is through the secure medical portal, it’s taking a little longer to determine the next steps. However, I’m grateful that someone is looking into this.
Speaking of gratitude, I am especially thankful for my mother-in-law, who generously offered to assist with Botox treatments if that ends up being the recommended course of action. That was such a blessing and completely unexpected.
In the meantime, I am chugging along with writing part of the second chapter of my doctoral capstone project. This portion is the literature review. I’ve outlined this chapter into nine sections, and my goal for this week is to complete five of them, leaving the remaining four for next week. I’m thankful that this chapter is spread over two weeks because it’s a lot of information to process. I’m also realizing that I may not be able to include all of my research sources here, but they can still be useful for other parts of my project—so no loss there! Right now, I’m working on the third section but needed a little break. My goal is to finish all five sections by Friday evening because I truly enjoy keeping my weekends as school- and work-free as possible—at least for one day!
Speaking of weekends, this Saturday my husband is working, so I have the day to myself. My plan is to pick up his Valentine’s Day present and go grocery shopping. I need to check the local ads today and see where we can save money. I may even opt for grocery pickup, as I tend to spend less when I shop that way instead of going into the store. Do you have any money-saving tips for grocery shopping? I’d love to hear them!
Lastly, I might take advantage of the quiet and watch a movie that would bore my husband, then read a few more chapters of the book I’m currently reading, You Are a Badass. It’s a fun read so far! Spoiler alert: it builds on concepts from Pray First and Good Vibes, Good Life, but with a funnier and more relatable tone. Stay tuned for a full book review soon!
That’s all I’ve got for this Wednesday. Enjoy your week!
