New Month, New Goals: My June 2026 Intentions

Hello, June!

There is something about the first day of a new month that feels full of possibility. It’s a fresh start, a clean slate, and another opportunity to make progress toward the things that matter most.

One of my favorite monthly traditions is sitting down and putting my goals on paper. Not because I expect perfection, but because writing them down gives me direction and helps me stay intentional throughout the month.

May was filled with celebrations, milestones, and some incredible wins, and now it’s time to see what June has in store.

Here are the goals I’m focusing on this month.

Financial Goal: Pay Off Two Credit Cards and Finish Paying Our Taxes

June’s biggest financial priority is simple: eliminate more debt.

My goal is to pay off both my TJ Maxx card and my Venmo credit card, bringing their balances back down to zero. While these balances aren’t overwhelming, I love the feeling of starting fresh and reducing financial clutter wherever possible.

I’m also hoping to make the final payments toward our 2025 tax bill. We are incredibly close to being finished, and it will be a huge relief to officially put that obligation behind us.

One lesson I learned this year is the importance of planning ahead. Because of that, I’ve been increasing my tax withholdings so that hopefully next year we won’t owe nearly as much—or anything at all.

Why This Goal Matters

Financial freedom isn’t built overnight. It’s created through small, consistent decisions that compound over time. Every balance paid off creates more flexibility, more peace of mind, and more opportunities for future goals.

Health Goal: Lose 5 Pounds and Build Consistent Exercise Habits

This month I’m continuing my focus on health and wellness.

My goal is to lose 5 pounds, visit the YMCA two to three times per week, and sign up for a few fitness classes.

We recently joined the YMCA, and I am determined to get my money’s worth. Sometimes simply making the commitment—and paying for it—creates the accountability needed to follow through.

What excites me most is the opportunity to try something new. Whether it’s a group fitness class, strength training, or another activity I haven’t explored before, I’m looking forward to finding movement that feels enjoyable rather than obligatory.

My hope is that increased activity, consistency, and healthier habits will help me continue making progress toward my weight loss goals.

Why This Goal Matters

Health isn’t just about a number on a scale. It’s about creating sustainable habits that improve energy, confidence, and overall well-being.

Business Goal: Close Two Homes as a Transaction Coordinator

Business is a little quieter than usual at the moment.

As I write this, I don’t have a large pipeline of closings scheduled for June, but that’s often how real estate works. Things can change quickly, and opportunities can appear when you least expect them.

My goal this month is to successfully close two homes as a transaction coordinator.

After closing ten homes in May, I know firsthand how quickly things can shift, so I’m staying optimistic and focused on providing excellent service to every client and agent I work with.

Why This Goal Matters

Success in business isn’t always about controlling outcomes. Sometimes it’s about showing up consistently, serving people well, and trusting the results will follow.

Personal Goal: Read Two Books

Reading remains one of my favorite forms of personal growth.

This month I signed up for a summer reading challenge through my favorite local bookstore, Main Street Reads.

The challenge includes multiple opportunities to win prizes throughout the summer, and it’s the perfect motivation to keep working through my ever-growing TBR pile.

While I would love to read more, my goal for June is a realistic and achievable two books.

Anything beyond that will simply be a bonus.

Why This Goal Matters

Reading allows me to learn, grow, relax, and explore new perspectives. Even a few books each month can have a meaningful impact over the course of a year.

Family Goal: Enjoy Summer Break

This month’s family goal is wonderfully simple.

Enjoy summer.

No school drop-offs. No homework. No rushing to get everyone out the door before the morning bell.

After a busy school year and a major graduation celebration, I’m looking forward to slowing down and enjoying this season with my family.

Sometimes the best goals aren’t about accomplishing more—they’re about appreciating what already exists.

Why This Goal Matters

These seasons don’t last forever. The kids will grow up, routines will change, and summers will eventually look different. I want to enjoy this one while we’re living it.

Monthly Bucket List Item: Learn How to Make a Lemon Martini

If you’ve followed my monthly bucket list adventures, you’ll know I seem to have developed a slight obsession with lemons.

Last month I successfully made a lemon drop vodka drink that was absolutely delicious.

This month, I’m taking things one step further.

My goal is to learn how to make a lemon martini.

The inspiration came from the Lucky Duck Martini at Dog and Duck, which eventually led me down a lemon-themed rabbit hole that I don’t plan on leaving anytime soon.

What can I say?

I love lemons.

Whether I master the perfect recipe or end up with a few failed attempts, I’m looking forward to experimenting and having fun with it.

Final Thoughts

June feels like a month full of possibility.

My goals aren’t about being perfect—they’re about making progress.

Whether it’s paying off debt, improving my health, growing my business, reading more books, spending time with family, or perfecting a lemon martini, every small step moves me closer to the life I’m intentionally creating.

Now it’s time to see what June has in store.

Check back at the end of the month to see how it all turned out!
