Can you believe it’s already mid-September? This month is flying by, and I thought it would be a good time to pause, reflect, and see how things are going so far.
💰 Budget & Spending Habits
I’ll be honest—I haven’t been as disciplined with my budget this month as I have been in the past. But here’s the silver lining: I’m not struggling, and all of my major obligations are covered first. That’s always the priority.
Yes, I may have splurged a little on Pampered Chef goodies and that ridiculously priced but oh-so-delicious tuna salad from Earth Fare (worth every penny!), but balance is key, right?
🎯 Goals & Progress
Here’s where I’m at with my September goals:
- Health → Working on losing five pounds. Progress is steady, but I’m giving myself grace.
- Financial → Paying down a credit card, little by little. Every step counts.
- Work → Closing on two houses as a transaction coordinator—a big accomplishment I’m proud of.
- Personal Growth → Finished reading The Power of Focus by Jack Canfield. I also launched my podcast (you can find it on YouTube!) and kept up with blogging, which is something I really value.
On the fun side, I enjoyed Labor Day weekend, and I’ve got some exciting events lined up—Beauty and the Beast on Broadway and the Charleston Symphony.
🏡 Still On the To-Do List
Of course, there are still things I want to tackle this month:
- Declutter the kitchen and pantry (bonus: donating extras to our local food bank).
- Prepare for the Fall Equinox—even if I’m not entirely sure how to celebrate it beyond embracing gratitude and the shift of seasons.
- Keep focusing on consistency—because small daily actions really do add up.
🌸 Gratitude for the Season
One of my favorite things about this time of year is how it naturally draws us into gratitude. Whether it’s big wins like career progress or small joys like a favorite snack, pausing to reflect makes everything feel richer.
