Unapologetically Amber: Living Life, Unfiltered

December Recap and 2025 Reflection

Rather than measuring success solely by checkmarks, December invited honesty, flexibility, and gratitude. Here’s a look at this month’s goals—and where things truly landed.

1. Lose 5 Pounds

Where we landed: Currently unknown

While the number isn’t clear right now, this goal still mattered. Health progress isn’t erased by a missing data point. Awareness, intention, and recommitment count—especially during a season filled with celebration, food, and shifting routines.

2. Plan for Next Year

Where we landed: In progress—and expanding

This goal gained momentum. Planning is actively underway with a focus on:

  • Huge long-term goals
  • Quarterly goals
  • Monthly goals
  • Potential weekly goals

These plans span multiple areas of life, including health, decluttering and cleaning, reading, finances, business, and joy-filled experiences like vacations. Preparation is becoming a foundation, not pressure.

3. Declutter One Room

Where we landed: Currently unknown (to be updated)

Decluttering progress may not yet be fully defined, but intention still matters. Decluttering is a process, not a one-time task—and it continues to be an ongoing priority moving forward.

4. Get One House Under Contract

Where we landed: Not completed—and that’s okay

This goal didn’t happen this month, but it wasn’t a failure. Progress isn’t always visible on the timeline we expect. Sometimes the work is happening behind the scenes—through preparation, patience, and trust.

5. Enjoy My Son’s 16th Birthday and Christmas

Where we landed: Mission accomplished

This was one of December’s biggest wins. Celebrating my youngest son’s 16th birthday was meaningful and memorable—we enjoyed dinner at Logan’s and saw Five Nights at Freddy’s 2.

These are the moments that matter most.

Christmas reflections are still unfolding, but the season emphasized presence, connection, and gratitude.

6. Purge and Donate

Where we landed: Progress made

This month included purging:

  • Old clothes
  • Broken or outdated holiday décor

Donations were made to the food pantry, reinforcing the importance of giving back and creating space—both physically and energetically.

7. Celebrate Wins

Where we landed: Absolutely

December reminded me that wins don’t have to be big to be worthy of celebration. Paying bills, making progress, and staying grateful through financial responsibility all count.

Gratitude turns routine stability into a win.

Books Read in December

Reading continued to be a grounding and growth-centered habit this month. Books read include:

  • The Secret by Rhonda Byrne
  • The Power by Rhonda Byrne
  • Not What She Seems by Yasmin Angoe
  • Caring for the Caregiver by Sharon Verrett
  • Just Between Friends by Sharon Verrett
  • Bloodstone Legacy – Book 1 by Denise Lee

Each book offered insight—whether through mindset, manifestation, or storytelling.

2025 Recap: A Year of Growth

Looking back on 2025, the progress is undeniable.

This year included:

  • Significant mindset growth and increased positivity
  • Debt reduction and an improved credit score
  • Starting a garden
  • Daily gratitude practices
  • A total weight loss of 21 pounds
  • Reading 34 books (and counting)

These accomplishments weren’t accidental—they were built through consistency, intention, and grace.

Final Thoughts

December didn’t demand perfection—it invited reflection.

And 2025 proved that sustainable growth happens when mindset, gratitude, and action work together. As the new year approaches, the focus isn’t on what wasn’t completed—but on everything that was built.

Progress happened. Lessons were learned. And the foundation for what’s next is already strong.
