April has come to a close, and as always, I like to look back at the goals I set and how everything played out. Some areas were major wins, others…. well, they’re works in progress. Here’s my full April monthly overview:
Financial Goals
My financial goals this month were strong: pay off two credit cards and track all income. Not only did I accomplish those, but I ended up doing even more. I paid my first quarter business taxes for 2026 and paid off four small credit cards plus three medical bills. I also kept up with tracking every bit of income, so financially, April felt like a success.
Health Goals
On the health side of things, the story was a little different. My goal was to lose 5 lbs., but based on my first-Sunday versus the last-Sunday weigh-ins, I actually ended the month up a pound. The method I use isn’t perfect, but it’s the easiest way for me to stay consistent. I also planned to walk 30 minutes a day, but I didn’t follow through on that. Purposeful walking just didn’t happen this month.
Business Goals
For business, my goal was to close two homes as a transaction coordinator, and I’m happy to say I exceeded that by closing three. Next month is already looking busy, and I’m hoping for another great month so we can get ahead on our 2025 tax bill.
Personal Goals
My personal goal was to read two books and begin time-blocking my schedule. I ended up reading five books! I’ve been working on time blocking as well, though it still needs some refining. This month I read:
- Behind These Four Walls by Yasmin Angoe
- Ghost Camera by Darcy Coates
- Countdown to Riches by Rhonda Byrne
- She Drinks the Light by Yasmin Angoe
- Grateful as F*ck by Francesca Amber
Family Goals
For my family goals, we planned to attend our son’s high school production of Fiddler on the Roof. I volunteered for ticket sales, but ended up missing the performance because I was really sick with viral pharyngitis that week. Our son was running the spotlight, so he understood.
Monthly Bucket List Goal
Lastly, I wanted to buy potted flowers for our front porch, but they weren’t looking great this season. Instead, I picked up some hydrangeas and a beautiful tablecloth, and now our dining area looks absolutely gorgeous! Not the goal I planned, but still a win!
I already have my goals lined up for May, and I’ll be sharing those tomorrow!
