Well, hello August! Can you believe July ended in a full-on scorcher? It felt like 118 degrees here some days, and let me tell you—I was over it. I know we’re not out of the heat just yet, but I’m really hoping August brings just a tiny bit of relief. Even more exciting? It’s officially back-to-school season for the kiddos. I’m hoping and praying they both have a great year—one starting his sophomore year and the other beginning his senior year (cue the emotions!).
Now, let’s talk goals.
Each month, I like to set small, achievable goals—nothing too overwhelming, just little intentions to keep me focused and moving forward. And honestly, sharing them here helps keep me accountable and also gives the universe a little nudge. So here we go:
✨ August Goals:
🧘♀️ Personal
- I want to lose five pounds this month. This is a goal I set often but rarely hit. I usually lose about 1–2 pounds monthly, so I know five might be a stretch—but hey, it’s a goal that keeps me mindful.
- No credit card use this month. I want to be intentional with money, review my finances, and hopefully pay off one small debt.
✍️ Creative & Home
- Continue to blog daily—even if it’s just a short post or a reflection. Writing keeps me grounded.
- Declutter one area of the house. One drawer, one closet—whatever I can manage, I just want to keep clearing space.
💼 Business
- Close on two homes this month in my role as a transaction coordinator.
- Explore the idea of offering virtual assistant services. I’m still in the brainstorming phase, but I’d like to make a decision this month—either go for it or shelf it.
- I’m also thinking seriously about starting a podcast. The wheels are turning, but I want to be intentional with how I approach it. I don’t need it to top the charts, but I’d love real connection, community, and interaction.
🎉 Life & Joy
- Enjoy my birthday! I want it to be light, fun, and drama-free. It does fall the day before school starts, so it might be a bit chaotic—but I’m claiming joy no matter what.
Some of these goals are already in motion, and others are more like seeds I’m planting to see if they’ll grow. Either way, I’m putting them out there, speaking them into existence, and trusting the process.
💬 Your Turn:
What are your goals for August? Big or small, practical or personal—I’d love to hear what you’re working on this month. Drop them in the comments or DM me. Let’s cheer each other on!
