Feel Good Friday: My Top 10 Comfort Shows to Rewatch Anytime

It’s Friday, and I thought a little Feel Good Friday was in order. Today, I’m sharing something simple but very close to my heart: my top 10 comfort shows. These are the shows I turn to when I need a laugh, a cry, a dose of drama, or something familiar playing in the background while I unwind.

Now remember—these are my top 10. You might totally disagree, and that’s okay! No judgment zone here—just vibes and TV love.

🎬 1. Downton Abbey

The costumes. The characters. The storytelling. The cinematography. I’m in love with every aspect of this series. As someone who adores historical fiction, Downton hits all the marks. The final movie is coming soon, and yes, I’ve already cried at the trailer. Bittersweet endings are tough, but I know it’s going to be beautiful.

🔍 2. Cold Justice

A former prosecutor, a seasoned detective, and a forensic expert walk into cold cases across the country—and it’s incredible. As a criminal justice girly with two degrees to prove it, I’m always going to advocate for justice and victims. No, not every case is solved, but when someone is indicted, it’s a small but meaningful victory.

👠 3. Sex and the City / And Just Like That

The fashion. The friendships. The empowerment. Say what you want about And Just Like That (yes, Miranda’s arc is not my fave either), but I will always rewatch classic episodes of SATC. It’s timeless, bold, and iconic.

🍷 4. Shameless

Crude? Absolutely. Hilarious? Yes. Emotionally devastating at times? Also yes. The Gallagher family is a mess—but a lovable one. It’s a rollercoaster, and I’m always down for the ride.

🧪 5. The Big Bang Theory + Spin-offs

From Sheldon’s quirks to the evolving relationships, I love the humor and heart of this series. Young Sheldon is so well done, and Georgie and Mandy’s First Marriage? Totally hooked.

💍 6. Any 90 Day Fiancé Show

The drama. The unpredictability. The wild love stories. I don’t need to think too hard when I watch these, and that’s kind of the point. When love works out, it’s beautiful. When it doesn’t? Still wildly entertaining.

🤠 7. Tulsa King

This one snuck up on me, but I’m obsessed. The storyline, the acting—everything just works. Hoping for multiple more seasons!

🛢 8. Landman

New but noteworthy. Gritty, authentic, and well-executed. It was recently renewed for Season 2 and I couldn’t be more excited. The realness of the characters and storyline pulled me in from the start.

💎 9. The Gilded Age

Created by the same genius behind Downton Abbey, this one delivers. Set in 1800s New York, it dives into old money vs. new money, women’s rights, and societal expectations. Gorgeous, compelling, and surprisingly emotional.

📺 10. Netflix Obsessions (Because I Can’t Pick Just One)

  • Wednesday – Moody, dark, and perfectly weird.
  • Ginny & Georgia – Smart, sassy, and full of layered drama.
  • Virgin River – Sweet, small-town feels with big emotional swings.
  • Call the Midwife – One of the most heartwarming, tearjerking shows I’ve ever watched.

These are my background comfort picks, my rainy day companions, my “just one more episode” shows. They’re all over the place genre-wise, but they each bring me a kind of joy or connection I can’t quite explain.
