June was a wild ride.
There were unexpected turns—some exciting, some tough. One of the biggest surprises? I managed to blog every day this month. That consistency has been a huge personal win. It’s helped me process emotions and thoughts, and I’m grateful to those who’ve taken time to read and engage. I hope my reflections have encouraged or inspired you in some small way.
Since it’s the last day of the month, I’m taking time to reflect on the goals I set, what I accomplished, what shifted, and what’s next.
🎯 June Goals Recap
- Lose 5 lbs. this month:
🕐 Well not 5lbs., but we did lose 3 lbs. so that is a win. - Make 1 extra debt payment:
✅ Accomplished! I made extra payments on both my Amazon and Capital One credit cards. - Do well in school / make progress toward my degree:
❌ Temporarily paused. My mental health needed more attention, and I realized stepping back was necessary. The beautiful thing? I can return when I’m ready. - Close 2 houses as a Transaction Coordinator:
I closed one and I am supposed to have two close today, but I don’t count a deal as done until all the signatures have been signed and money hits the account. So perhaps, it will be three or perhaps they will go towards my July count.
💰 Other Wins This Month
- Saved $500
- Paid off 4 medical bills
- Paid our taxes in full with no penalties
- Read Sorry I’m Late, I Didn’t Want to Come, The Haunting of Blackwood House, and You’ve Got to Read This Book!
- Enjoyed quality time with family and celebrated Father’s Day at the beach
- Attended a Dave Matthews Band concert
🌱 What I’ve Learned
I didn’t hit every goal — but I made real progress, and that matters. Life doesn’t always unfold according to plan, but it does keep moving. And when we pause long enough to reflect, we realize how far we’ve come.
🔜 Looking Ahead
I’m entering July with a renewed mindset: stay grounded, focused, and gentle with myself. I’ll be setting new goals and continuing the work of becoming the healthiest version of me — mentally, emotionally, financially, and physically.
