There is something magical about the days leading into September. Maybe it’s the lingering feeling of back-to-school season, the hint of cooler mornings just around the corner, or simply knowing that the year still has time left for meaningful change. While January gets all the attention for fresh starts, I’ve always believed September carries its own quiet invitation to begin again.
With only six days before the calendar turns, don’t think about everything you haven’t accomplished this year. Instead, think about who you still have time to become. You don’t need to wait for Monday, next month, or a brand-new year. The woman you’re envisioning—the one who is confident, intentional, healthy, peaceful, and fulfilled—can start showing up today. As you know, this month I started a new decade and this decade is the decade of wealth. With that in mind, what does that mean for who I am becoming in this new year, new decade? I honestly am not sure, but I think it is developing new skills to increase my income, try new income streams, and just focusing on attaining the amount of wealth that I want to achieve.
She Starts With Her Mindset
Before routines change, before habits stick, and before goals become reality, everything begins with the way we think. Becoming “her” isn’t about buying a new wardrobe or completely reinventing your life overnight. It’s about changing the story you tell yourself every day. The woman you’re becoming doesn’t constantly criticize herself. She encourages herself, trusts herself, and believes she is capable of growing into the life she desires.
Instead of focusing on who you’ve been, begin focusing on who you’re becoming. Every thought you repeat becomes part of your identity. If you want to become more confident, disciplined, or joyful, start speaking to yourself as someone who already possesses those qualities. I need to let go of limiting beliefs around failure. Who cares if I fail? At least I tried.
She Builds Small Daily Habits
Big transformations are rarely the result of one dramatic decision. More often, they’re built through small choices repeated consistently over time. Drinking more water, reading ten pages, taking a morning walk, preparing meals at home, spending ten minutes journaling—these simple habits may seem insignificant today, but over weeks and months they become part of who you are.
You don’t need an elaborate routine to become “her.” You simply need habits that align with the life you’re trying to create. Every small promise you keep to yourself builds confidence that no motivational quote ever could. So what daily habit can I incorporate in order to help me move towards my goals? Well there are two…. I can spend 30 minutes a day working on new book concepts for my Amazon shop and the second is taking 30 minutes to learn new skills towards my career.
She Stops Waiting for the Perfect Time
It’s easy to convince ourselves that we’ll start after vacation, after work slows down, after life becomes less busy, or once the calendar flips to a new month. But perfection is a moving target. There will always be another reason to delay. The truth is, the best time to become the person you want to be is while life is still unfolding.
Six days may not seem like much, but it is more than enough time to build momentum. Imagine beginning September already feeling proud of yourself instead of waiting until September 1st to make another list of goals you’ve yet to start.
She Creates a Life She Loves
Becoming “her” isn’t just about productivity. It’s also about creating a life that feels meaningful. She lights candles because they make ordinary evenings feel special. She spends time with people who bring her peace. She protects her energy, enjoys slow mornings when she can, and finds joy in everyday moments instead of waiting for special occasions.
The life you’re dreaming about isn’t only found in major accomplishments. It’s built through the small rituals that remind you your life is worth enjoying today—not someday.
She Lets Go of Who She No Longer Wants to Be
Every new beginning requires letting go of something old. Maybe it’s the habit of doubting yourself. Maybe it’s procrastination, people-pleasing, comparison, or believing you’re behind. Becoming “her” isn’t only about adding new habits—it’s about releasing the identities that no longer fit the woman you’re becoming.
Growth often feels uncomfortable because we’re shedding old versions of ourselves. But every time you choose courage over comfort, you create space for something better. Basically, I have to remind myself just push through that procrastination or that limiting belief of fear of failure and just do the damn thing! I got this and so do you!
September Doesn’t Have to Be Perfect
It’s tempting to think that September needs to begin with a flawless plan, color-coded routines, and endless motivation. But real transformation doesn’t happen because everything goes perfectly. It happens because you keep showing up, even when your motivation fades. The woman you’re becoming isn’t perfect—she’s consistent.
Allow yourself to start imperfectly. Miss a workout? Begin again tomorrow. Skip a journal entry? Open the notebook the next day. Growth isn’t measured by never making mistakes; it’s measured by your willingness to keep going.
September isn’t giving you permission to become someone new—it is reminding you of who you’ve been capable of becoming all along. You don’t need a dramatic transformation over the next six days. You simply need one intentional decision followed by another.
Imagine waking up on September 1st knowing you didn’t wait. Knowing you already started. Knowing you’ve already taken the first steps toward becoming the woman you’ve envisioned.
The best part? She was never someone else. She was always you—waiting for the moment you decided to believe it. Your future self will thank you!
