The week is almost over, and we’re closing in on a full week of this lingering headache. The good news? It has eased up quite a bit today for most of the day. There were only a few throbbing, stabbing sensations that came and went—until now, when the main pain has decided to make a return. Lucky me… please read that with sarcasm.

But here’s the real silver lining! My doctor has adjusted my migraine treatment plan—upping my current relief pill and starting me on a new preventative medication, which consists of a monthly injection. It’s significantly more affordable than Botox and, based on my research (and my mom’s experience with it), it seems promising. At least I have someone to ask all my questions if I run into any side effects.

School & Study Mode

I think I’ve completed everything due this week (key word: think), and I plan to spend Saturday catching up on reading and possibly diving into more research. My literature review is still a work in progress, and I have a stack of articles waiting for me. So, that’s my main academic focus this weekend—looks like I’ve found a way to keep busy while my husband is working.

Speaking of tasks I’ve been putting off…I still need to finish my grocery order. After browsing the online selection, I realized I might just go in person instead. Apparently, the store claims they have peaches (spoiler: they don’t), but they do have my favorite oranges in-store that aren’t showing up online. Priorities, right? If you’ve never had a sumo orange, you’re seriously missing out. They are hands-down the best oranges I’ve ever had!

February Goals & Fresh Starts

With the weekend comes a brand-new month, which means I get to reflect on January’s accomplishments and set my goals for February. I’m still fine-tuning them, but after a good night’s sleep, I should have them finalized and ready to share.

A Tragic Loss

On a heavier note, I can’t stop thinking about the tragic plane and helicopter crash in Washington, D.C., last night. It’s absolutely heartbreaking. So many young, talented lives lost in an instant. There are no words that can truly capture the weight of such a tragedy. My heart, thoughts, and prayers go out to all the families and friends affected.

Here’s to hoping for a restful weekend, fresh starts, and brighter days ahead.
