Sunday Reflections: Prepping for the Week, Faith, and Finding Balance

Sunday Reflections and Preparations

Sundays are my day to reset and prepare for the week ahead. It’s a time to reflect on progress, set intentions, and tackle tasks that keep life running smoothly.

Starting with Progress

My Sunday always begins with my weekly weigh-in. As you may know, I’m on a weight-loss journey, and weighing in once a week helps me track progress without becoming obsessive. This week, I’m thrilled to share that I’m down 3 pounds! 🎉 I’ll take the win because let’s be real—every week looks different, and that’s okay.

Getting Ahead on Work

Next, I shift gears to work mode by scheduling my real estate social media posts. Scheduling ahead is a lifesaver for my busy lifestyle, and I highly recommend automating smaller tasks whenever possible. After that, I review my planner and work schedule, jotting down any tasks I may have missed. This simple step helps me prioritize and stay on top of my workload for the week.

The Struggle (and Reward) of Church

If I’m honest, getting to church is often the hardest part of my Sunday. Between the cold weather and clothes that don’t quite fit (a happy problem, since they’re too big now!), excuses come easily. But every time I go, I’m reminded why it’s worth it. I leave feeling encouraged and often realize I needed to hear that day’s message.

Lessons from “Pray First”

Speaking of messages, I just finished my first book of the year: Pray First by Chris Hodges. The main takeaway? God desires a deep relationship with us, and we should turn to Him first in all things. While parts of the book felt like a pitch for the author’s church, I think he was simply sharing how prayer has transformed lives in his community.

What’s Next?

I’m diving into my next read, Good Vibes, Good Life by Vex King. It’s waiting in my Amazon cart alongside a few other items for my first order of the year—definitely not my last!

Sunday Chill (and Reality TV)

After church, my focus shifts to schoolwork. Today, I plan to watch a couple of class videos and start my first assignment. Of course, I’ll balance this with some downtime to catch up on 90 Day Fiancé: Before the 90 Days. Did I mention I’m a reality TV queen? It’s my guilty pleasure and perfect for unwinding.

What About You?

Do you have Sunday rituals or tasks that always seem to fall on this day? How do you prep for the week ahead? If you’ve read Pray First, I’d love to hear your thoughts. Let’s share our Sunday vibes and inspiration!

Here’s to a beautiful day and a productive week ahead. 💛
