7 Common Manifestation Blocks and How to Overcome Them

Earlier this month, I shared a personal story about how I manifested money—yes, money! It was an incredible reminder of how powerful manifestation can be when we align ourselves with faith, gratitude, and action.

But let’s be honest: it’s not always that easy.
Sometimes, despite our best efforts, we can’t seem to manifest what we desire. And when that happens, the likely culprit is a manifestation block—something rooted in our subconscious that quietly works against us.

Let’s talk about the most common manifestation blocks and what we can do to clear them.


💭 What Blocks Manifestation?

  1. Mindset
    Your mindset creates your reality. If you believe the world is against you or that things never work out in your favor, you’re reinforcing a negative vibration. Combat this by developing a growth mindset—one that’s open to possibility, change, and opportunity.
  2. Limiting Beliefs
    These are sneaky and usually formed during childhood or past experiences. “I’ll never be successful,” “People like me don’t get rich,” or “That’s just not possible for someone like me” are all examples. To overcome them, become aware of these thoughts and reframe them.

Instead of: “I’ll never be financially stable,”
Try: “I am learning how to create more financial stability each day.”

  1. Self-Image
    How you see yourself matters. I’ve caught myself saying, “I can’t do that because I’m too ___.” That internal dialogue is damaging. Begin seeing yourself as capable and worthy. Manifestation requires self-love and self-trust.
  2. Emotions
    Fear, doubt, and anxiety can block the flow of your desires. But what’s the worst that could happen? You fail? Okay—try again. The emotional resistance often keeps us from taking the steps we need. Breathe through it, release the fear, and move forward.
  3. Habits
    Your daily habits are your vote for the life you want. Are your habits supporting your goals or sabotaging them? Replace one negative habit at a time with something intentional—like journaling, visualizing, or affirming your goals daily.
  4. Body & Health
    As someone who lives with chronic illness, I know how much this one matters. When your body is depleted, your mind follows. Nourishing your body—hydrating, moving, resting—isn’t just wellness; it’s manifestation prep. A healthy vessel receives energy clearly.
  5. Environment & Relationships
    Cluttered space, chaotic environments, or toxic relationships = manifestation blocks. That’s why I’m actively decluttering—to make room for what I’m calling in. Choose to surround yourself with people and spaces that support your growth.

🧱 Common Manifestation Blocks & How to Clear Them:

🚫 Block: “I don’t believe this will happen.”
Reframe: “I trust that I’m learning how to make this happen.”

🚫 Block: You haven’t done enough inner work.
Solution: Start journaling, meditating, or practicing gratitude daily. Inner healing is ongoing.

🚫 Block: You’re self-sabotaging.
Solution: Notice when your actions don’t align with your goals (e.g., overspending after getting a bonus). Forgive yourself and realign.
